Alignment Rockford is Celebrating 15 years!

Alignment Rockford was founded in 2009 by a diverse group of civic, business, religious and educational leaders in Rockford who were looking for a way to respond to declining student achievement and graduation rates.

Since then, we have been working in partnership with the Rockford Public School District and local agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals to improve opportunity and outcomes for Rockford area students and youth.

Alignment Rockford led in the development of the Rockford Public School District's College and Career Pathways Programs and the beloved annual Freshman Career Expo.

Alignment Rockford convenes and leads the Ready to Learn Early Childhood Collaboration in Rockford, which works to streamline access, services and supports for families with children under the age of 5.

We are the County Administrators of the Early Development Instrument, an important early childhood developmental readiness survey, which give us a community-wide look at the strengths and needs of our youngest residents.

Alignment Rockford is leading Winnebago County in the implementation of a wellness and support-focused universal neonatal home visiting system that will provide every mother who gives birth in Winnebago County a free welcome baby visit by a registered neonatal nurse;

And we are working with collaboration with community partners and the Rockford Public School District to implement a Strong Schools healing-centered framework that places students at the center of their own success through the intentional integration of resilience building strategies throughout every area of the educational experience.
