Rockford Public Schools is one of the largest school districts in Illinois, educating approximately 27,700 students through early childhood and preschool programs all the way through high school and adult education programs.

There are 41 schools in the district. Those who live in or are planning to move to the Rockford area can use our school zone locator to determine the assigned school zone. With approximately 4,071 employees, the school district is also the second-largest employer in the region.
