National children’s health organization Alliance for a Healthier Generation today unveiled its 2026 list of America’s Healthiest Schools, celebrating 1,376 K–12 schools nationwide for their commitment to advancing whole child health, including Flinn Middle School.

Supported by Del Monte Foods, Kaiser Permanente, and Kohl’s Cares, Healthier Generation’s annual award program recognizes schools for implementing evidence-based policies and practices to support academic success and lifelong well-being. Schools are recognized in nine health-related topic areas. Flinn Middle School was awarded for topic area Bolstering Physical Education & Activity.

"We are honored and excited to be recognized by Alliance for a Healthier Generation with the America’s Healthiest Schools award for our Physical Education programming. This award reflects our staff who work every day to keep our students active, engaged, and healthy," said Christina Koblosh, Physical Education teacher at Flinn Middle School. "By building a culture where physical activity and wellness go hand in hand with academic growth, we are giving our students the lifelong tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom."
